My coaching philosophy is based on trust and transparency with the person I'm coaching. The better I understand my students' lives, the better I can support them in their personal development and progress in flight.
The fundamental points are a theoretical understanding of the basics of body mechanics, aerodynamics and placement. Then, in practice, it's about building a visual reference, balancing weight and creating muscle memory through various exercises between the tunnel and the gym that will be essential to maintain energy/power in your flight to move from one place to another.
Last, our flight reflects our state of mind. We can't go against this, we have to embrace the strengths and weaknesses of our vehicles (body and mind).
Julien has completed more than 2,100 jumps, with a core expertise in angle flying, freeflying, tunnel flying, and dynamic flight. His work blends competition with coaching, always seeking new ways to expand movement and share the experience of flight.
One of Julien’s most meaningful experiences has been sharing his passion with people with disabilities, opening the sky to those who might otherwise never feel it. That perspective continues to shape how he approaches both teaching and flying.
What keeps him coming back to the sport is more than progression. It’s the opportunity to share knowledge, help others fly more safely, and keep growing- both as an athlete and as a person. And, above all, it’s the priceless flow state he enters every time he’s in the air.
For Julien, being part of Fluid Dynamics is more than a team-it’s a family. One built on receiving and giving unconditional love, and united by a commitment to give back to the community that shaped them.
