Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit fdskydiving.com, book an Event, buy a product or contact us, and how we use it. We process data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Controller

Fluid Dynamics Flight Concept Sàrl, Rue du Stade 4, 1950 Sion, Switzerland (IDE CHE-182.971.005) is responsible for your data. For any privacy question or request, email fdfreefly@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

We do not ask for medical information. By booking, you make a health self-declaration under our Terms & Conditions. If you choose to tell an Event lead about a health issue at an Event, we use it only for your safety at that Event. Dietary information is optional and used only for catering. If you give us someone else's details, such as an emergency contact, please let them know.

3. Why we use your data

The legal basis column applies where the GDPR applies. Under the FADP we process data for the same purposes.

4. Who we share it with

We share only what each recipient needs. We do not sell your data.

  • Dropzones and facilities hosting the Event: name, licence, jump numbers, group and emergency contact, for manifest and safety.
  • Coaches and load organisers working at the Event on our behalf.
  • Our bank, to receive payments and make refunds.
  • IT service providers: our website hosting provider, our customer database and email service providers, and Google (Gmail, Drive, Sheets and Calendar). They process data only on our instructions.
  • WhatsApp, if you join an Event group chat. Other members of the group see your name and number.
  • Shipping carriers, to deliver merchandise.
  • Accountants, tax advisors, lawyers and insurers, where needed for their services or after an incident.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

5. International transfers

We are based in Switzerland, and our Events take place in several countries. Your data may be processed in EU and EEA countries, which Switzerland recognises as providing adequate protection. It may also be processed in the United States by our IT providers. These transfers rely on the providers' certification under the Swiss–US and EU–US Data Privacy Frameworks, or on standard contractual clauses. For an Event outside Europe, we transfer data to that country where it is necessary to perform your booking.

6. How long we keep it

7. Photos and video

Our team and media crew take photos and video at Events, in the air and on the ground. We use this material on our website, social media and promotional material. You can object at any time by emailing fdfreefly@gmail.com or telling the Event lead. We will then not feature you in new material, and will remove existing posts that show you prominently where reasonably possible.

8. Newsletter

We send our newsletter only if you sign up or tick the optional newsletter box on a form. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not affect emails about a booking you have made.

9. Website and cookies

Our website is hosted by an external hosting provider. When you visit, technical data such as your IP address, browser and pages visited is processed to deliver and secure the site. We use cookies that are needed for the site to work. If we use analytics or other optional cookies, we ask for your consent first, and you can change your choice at any time. Links to social media and external sites are subject to those sites' own policies.

10. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • know whether we process your data and get a copy of it;
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have your data deleted, unless we must keep it by law (for example invoices);
  • restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interest, including use of photos and video;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
  • receive data you gave us in a common electronic format.

Email fdfreefly@gmail.com to use any of these rights. We reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity. If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If you live in the EU, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

11. Security

We protect your data with access controls on our accounts and by giving team members access only to what they need. No system is fully secure, but we act promptly if a problem arises.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The current version is always on this page, with its version number and date.
