Terms & Conditions

Fluid Dynamics Flight Concept Sàrl · Version v2026-1 · Last updated October 2026

These terms apply to every event booking, online product and merchandise order with Fluid Dynamics. By ticking the acceptance box on the registration or order form and paying, you agree to them. No signature is required. Section 15 is our Privacy Policy and also applies to website visitors who do not book.

1. Parties and scope

1.1 Provider. Fluid Dynamics Flight Concept Sàrl, Rue du Stade 4, 1950 Sion, Switzerland. IDE: CHE-182.971.005. Email: fdfreefly@gmail.com. Website: fdskydiving.com. Referred to as "Fluid Dynamics", "FD", "we" or "us".

1.2 Client. The person who books an event, buys an online product or orders merchandise. Referred to as "you" or "the client". Where one person books for others, each participant must accept these terms individually.

1.3 Scope. These terms cover:

  • Skydiving camps, coaching events and skills events organised by Fluid Dynamics, and wind-tunnel events where offered ("Events", sections 2–10). For tunnel events, the equipment and licence requirements are stated in the Event Details.
  • Online products and courses (section 12).
  • Merchandise sold through fdskydiving.com or at events (section 13).

1.4 Event-specific details. Dates, venue, price, what the registration fee includes, minimum experience, group size and payment deadlines are stated on each event page or in the confirmation email ("Event Details"). Where Event Details conflict with these terms, the Event Details apply for that event only.

1.5 Third parties. Events take place at independent dropzones and facilities ("the DZ"). The DZ sells jump tickets, runs manifest and aircraft, and has its own rules, waivers and fees. You must accept the DZ's terms separately. Fluid Dynamics is not the DZ's agent and is not responsible for the DZ's services.

2. Booking and acceptance

2.1 How the contract forms. You register through our registration form and tick the box confirming you have read and accept these terms (version shown on the form). We confirm your registration by email with payment instructions. The contract is formed when we receive your full payment.

2.2 Payment confirms acceptance. By paying, you confirm again that you have read, understood and accepted these terms, including sections 8–10 (risk, liability and insurance). No signature is required.

2.3 Securing your place. We hold your place for 48 hours after our confirmation email, or for the period stated in the Event Details. Your place is confirmed as soon as your payment arrives. Places go in order of payment, and many Events have a waiting list. If your payment has not arrived when the hold ends, we may offer your place to the next person on the list. If you need a little more time, email us before the hold ends and we will do our best to help.

2.4 Places. Places are limited and allocated in order of full payment received.

2.5 Refusal of a booking. We may decline a registration for any reason, for example if the participant does not meet the Event's requirements (section 6) or the Event is full. We then refund your payment in full with no administration fee. Only the bank charges incurred on your payment and on the refund are deducted.

3. Prices and payment

3.1 What the fee covers. The registration fee covers coaching, organisation and whatever else the Event Details list. It does not include jump tickets, DZ fees, travel, accommodation, food, equipment rental or insurance, unless the Event Details explicitly say so.

3.2 Method. All payments for Events are made by bank transfer to the Fluid Dynamics account shown on the registration form and in our confirmation email. We do not accept cash or card payments for Events unless agreed in writing.

3.3 Reference. The payment reference must contain your full name and the Event name (for example "Anna Muster – Spring Camp 2027"). We are not responsible for delays caused by a missing or wrong reference.

3.4 Fees and currency. Prices are stated in the currency shown in the Event Details. Bank charges and currency conversion costs are paid by you. Choose the option where you pay all charges (often called "OUR"), so the amount we receive equals the full fee. If we receive less, the difference is still due.

3.5 Invoices. We issue an invoice for every payment, using the billing details you enter on the registration form. If the invoice should be in a company name, enter the company name, billing address and VAT or UID number on the form before you pay.

3.6 Taxes. Where VAT or another tax applies, it is included in or shown with the price in the Event Details or on the invoice.

4. Cancellation by the client

4.1 How to cancel. Cancel by email to fdfreefly@gmail.com. The date we receive your email counts.

4.2 Refunds. Refunds are calculated on the registration fee paid to Fluid Dynamics, by how many days before the Event's first day we receive your cancellation:

Cancellation received Refund of registration fee
More than 90 days before the Event Full fee minus a €75 administration fee
90 to 30 days before the Event 50% of the fee
Less than 30 days before the Event, or no-show No refund

4.3 Why. Our costs for coaches, DZ bookings and organisation are committed well before the Event. The administration fee and sliding scale cover those costs.

4.4 Transfer to a substitute. At any time up to the start of the Event, you may transfer your place to a qualified substitute instead of cancelling, for a €75 administration fee. The substitute must have the skills, experience and currency the Event requires and meet all requirements in section 6. They must register through our form and accept these terms. We may refuse a substitute who does not meet the requirements; your cancellation then follows section 4.2. Any payment between you and the substitute is your own arrangement.

4.5 Illness, injury and personal reasons. Cancellation for illness, injury, work, travel disruption or any other personal reason follows section 4.2. We strongly recommend travel and cancellation insurance.

4.6 Partial attendance. No refund is given for days, jumps or sessions you do not attend, arrive late for, or leave early from.

4.7 Refund payment. Refunds are paid by bank transfer to the account you paid from, within 14 days of your cancellation.

4.8 No statutory right of withdrawal for Events. Events are leisure services on a fixed date. The 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts therefore does not apply to Event bookings. This does not affect section 13.4 for merchandise.

5. Cancellation or changes by Fluid Dynamics

5.1 When we may cancel. We may cancel an Event if the minimum number of participants is not reached, the DZ or aircraft becomes unavailable, a coach cannot attend and no suitable replacement is found, or for reasons beyond our control (force majeure, such as natural events, epidemics, official orders, strikes or war).

5.2 Refund if we cancel. We will tell you as soon as possible and refund the full registration fee paid to Fluid Dynamics within 14 days, by bank transfer. We do not issue credits or vouchers instead of refunds.

5.3 Days cancelled after the Event starts. If we must cancel one or more full Event days for a reason in 5.1 (other than weather, see 5.5), we refund the fee pro rata for those days.

5.4 Travel and other costs. We are not responsible for flights, accommodation, jump tickets, DZ fees or other costs you incur, whether or not we cancel. Book flexible travel or take out travel insurance.

5.5 Weather and DZ operations. Weather, wind, cloud, aircraft maintenance, air traffic restrictions and DZ holds are part of skydiving. No refund is given for jumps or days lost to them. Where we can, we use the time for ground coaching, debriefs or dirt-dives.

5.6 Changes. We may change coaches, schedules, group composition, jump plans or load organisation for safety or operational reasons. If we change the Event's dates or location, you may cancel within 7 days of our notice for a full refund.

6. Participant requirements and equipment

6.1 Licence and experience. You must hold a valid skydiving licence from a recognised national or international body, meet the minimum jump numbers and currency stated in the Event Details, and meet all DZ requirements. You must show proof on request.

6.2 Truthful information. The information you give at registration (experience, jump numbers, licence, insurance, health) must be true and complete. We rely on it to place you in the right group.

6.3 Your equipment. You are solely responsible for your equipment and its airworthiness. As a minimum you must use:

  1. A properly fitted container designed and safe for freefly and high-speed flight in all orientations.
  2. A functioning, serviced automatic activation device (AAD).
  3. An in-date reserve repack by an appropriately rated rigger.
  4. A main closing loop and handles in good condition.
  5. At least one audible altimeter (two recommended) and one visual altimeter.
  6. A skydiving helmet.
  7. A main canopy appropriate to your experience, currency and wing loading.

6.4 Checks. You must check your equipment before every jump. If you are unsure whether your equipment is suitable, ask us before the Event. We may refuse to let you jump with equipment we consider unsafe. This does not transfer responsibility for your equipment to us.

6.5 Assessment. Our coaches may assess your skills and move you to a different group, limit the jumps you take part in, or exclude you from certain jumps if they judge it necessary for safety. No refund is given for this.

7. Conduct, manifest and card system

7.1 Manifest. You are manifested with your group and expected on every load your group jumps. These are skills events, not boogies. If you miss a load, your slot is still charged.

7.2 Replacing your slot. If you cannot jump due to illness, injury or a malfunction, we and the DZ will try to fill your slot. This is decided case by case. If no replacement is found, you pay for the slot.

7.3 Load organiser slots. If the group does not reach the participant-to-coach ratio, or members stop jumping for the day, the remaining participants in that group share the cost of the load organiser's slot.

7.4 Card system. Safety and attitude towards safety are managed with cards:

  • Yellow card: a formal warning, valid until the end of the Event.
  • Red card: you stop jumping for the rest of the day. Your slots for that day are still charged.
  • Two yellow cards count as a red card.
  • Two red cards: you are removed from the Event with no refund, and any costs caused are yours.

Cards may also come with the customary beer fine.

7.5 Immediate removal. We may give an immediate red card or remove you from the Event without prior warning, with no refund, for:

  • jumping, or attempting to jump, under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, medication that impairs judgement, or any other drug (zero tolerance on jumping days);
  • repeated reckless behaviour that endangers you or others, or clear disregard of a coach's safety instructions;
  • violence, threats, harassment, discrimination or abusive behaviour towards anyone at the Event;
  • breaking DZ rules in a way that leads the DZ to ground you.

7.6 DZ authority. The DZ's rules, safety officers and staff have the final say on everything at the DZ.

8. Assumption of risk

8.1 Skydiving is dangerous. You acknowledge that skydiving, including freefly, formation, sequential and flocking jumps, canopy flight and landings, is an extreme sport with inherent risks that no organiser can eliminate. These include serious injury, permanent disability and death.

8.2 The risks include, without limitation:

  • aircraft flights, take-off, landing and emergencies;
  • exits, collisions in freefly and under canopy, and loss of altitude awareness;
  • equipment malfunctions, including of main, reserve and AAD;
  • canopy collisions, turbulence, hard or off-field landings;
  • weather, wind and changing conditions;
  • errors of judgement by you, other jumpers, pilots, DZ staff or coaches;
  • related activities during an Event, such as wind-tunnel sessions, ground training, transport and social activities.

8.3 Voluntary participation. You take part voluntarily and with full knowledge of these risks, and you accept them.

8.4 Your own responsibility. As a licensed skydiver, you are responsible for your own safety on every jump. Coaching, briefings and jump plans are guidance. You alone decide whether to jump and remain responsible for your equipment, exit, break-off, deployment altitude, canopy flight and landing. You must refuse any jump you do not feel ready or current for.

9. Limitation of liability

9.1 Exclusion. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Fluid Dynamics and its partners, coaches, load organisers, staff and volunteers are not liable for injury, death, damage or loss arising from the inherent risks described in section 8, or from slight negligence.

9.2 What we do not exclude. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory law, including consumer protection law of your country of residence.

9.3 Cap. Where we are liable for damage other than death or personal injury, our liability is limited to the registration fee you paid for the Event concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost earnings, travel costs or lost enjoyment.

9.4 Third parties. The DZ, pilots, riggers and other jumpers are independent third parties, not our agents or auxiliaries. We are not liable for their acts or omissions.

9.5 Your liability. You are liable under the law for damage you cause to other people, their property, the aircraft or DZ facilities.

9.6 Binding effect. To the extent permitted by law, sections 8 and 9 also bind your heirs and anyone claiming on your behalf.

10. Insurance and health

10.1 Mandatory insurance. For the full duration of the Event you must hold:

  • third-party liability insurance valid for skydiving in the Event's country;
  • medical insurance that covers treatment and hospital costs resulting from skydiving, including rescue and repatriation; and
  • accident insurance that covers skydiving accidents.

10.2 Proof. You must show proof of all three before your first jump at the Event. Without proof you may not jump, and no refund is given.

10.3 Recommended. We strongly recommend travel and cancellation insurance.

10.4 We do not insure you. Fluid Dynamics does not provide any insurance for participants.

10.5 Health self-declaration. By paying, you confirm that:

  • you are physically and mentally fit to skydive;
  • you have no condition, injury or treatment that could impair your ability to skydive safely, or that you have medical clearance to jump despite it;
  • you have normal vision or wear corrective lenses when jumping;
  • you will not jump while impaired by alcohol, drugs or medication.

10.6 Changes in health. If your health or fitness changes before or during the Event, you must stop jumping and tell the Event lead. Any health information you share is treated confidentially and used only for your safety at the Event.

11. Photos and video

11.1 Filming at Events. Our team and media crew take photos and video at Events, in the air and on the ground. We use this material on our website, social media and in promotional material for Fluid Dynamics, without payment to you.

11.2 Your right to object. You may object at any time by emailing fdfreefly@gmail.com or telling the Event lead. We will then not feature you in new material and will remove existing posts showing you prominently where reasonably possible. Material already printed or published by third parties cannot always be withdrawn.

11.3 Personal data. How we collect, use and protect personal data is set out in section 15 (Privacy Policy).

12. Online products and courses

12.1 Licence. When you buy an online product or course, you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own training for the access period stated at purchase. You may not share logins, copy, record, resell or publish the content.

12.2 Ownership. All content remains the intellectual property of Fluid Dynamics or its coaches.

12.3 Delivery and withdrawal. Access is provided after payment. If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content. By requesting immediate access at checkout, you expressly agree that delivery starts straight away and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once access begins.

12.4 Guidance, not supervision. Online content is educational. It does not replace in-person coaching or DZ briefings. You apply it at your own risk, and sections 8 and 9 apply accordingly.

13. Merchandise

13.1 Orders. Product descriptions, prices, applicable taxes and shipping costs are shown before you order. The contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. Payment is due in advance, using the method shown at checkout.

13.2 Delivery. We ship to the address you give. Delivery times are estimates. Orders ship from Switzerland unless stated otherwise.

13.3 Customs and import taxes. For deliveries outside Switzerland, import VAT, customs duties and handling fees charged in your country are paid by you, unless stated otherwise at checkout.

13.4 Right of withdrawal. You may withdraw from a merchandise purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, by emailing fdfreefly@gmail.com. Return the goods unused, with tags, within 14 days of your notice. You pay the return shipping. We refund the price and standard outbound shipping within 14 days of receiving the goods back. Personalised items and hygiene-sealed items that have been opened cannot be returned.

13.5 Defects. Statutory warranty rights apply. Tell us about a defect promptly, with photos. We will repair, replace or refund the item.

13.6 Event sales. Merchandise bought in person at an Event is final sale, except for defects.

14. Final provisions

14.1 Governing law. These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of mandatory law of your country of residence.

14.2 Jurisdiction. The courts of Sion, Canton of Valais, Switzerland, have jurisdiction. Consumers may also bring or face proceedings in the courts of their place of residence where mandatory law provides so.

14.3 Severability. If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain in force. The invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its purpose.

14.4 Version and changes. We may update these terms. The version you accepted when booking or ordering applies to that booking or order.

14.5 Language. These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version prevails.

14.6 Notices. We communicate by email. Notices to us go to fdfreefly@gmail.com.

15. Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy forms section 15 of these terms. It is published in full on its own page: Privacy Policy.
